Outdoor Learning
Visiting our WOW space daily is an integral part of the Early Years Provision we provide for children in their preschool year at Lighthouse Learning Hub. We aim to follow the forest school ethos of giving every child the right to play and access the outdoor environment and natural world. We encourage children to take risks, build resilience and think creatively.
Risky play is thought to encourage children’s self-esteem, confidence, and resilience against challenges. During our daily visits to the WOW space children will be allowed to take part in many activities which they may not have been exposed to before including using tools and climbing trees.
